Voluntary Resignation
There will be a 3 month notice period involved for all employees.
An employee wishing to resign in good standing shall submit to the supervisor / department head a resignation letter dated and signed stating the effective date of the resignation. Employees are expected to give 3 months’ notice of resignation. For the purpose of this procedure, leave days shall not be counted as worked days. An employee who fails to comply with this requirement shall have such failure documented in their personnel file and in their documentation.
- If you wish to resign, you will have to serve the company with at least 3 months’ notice as applicable. In case the employee remains absent during the notice period, it will considered a breach of the required notice period & treated as such. In case of exceptional reasons such as sickness, the employee can take pre-approved leave. The period of absence will need to be added to the notice period being served.
- Employees that do not give appropriate notice will be liable to pay the company 3 months’ salary.
- The notice period requirement also applies during the probation period.
- Employees discharged for just cause will not be eligible to receive salary in lieu of notice from the company.
- Failure to work and discharged for disciplinary reasons will not receive any employee benefits.
- Upon termination of employment, you must return your identification badge to the personnel representative
- During the notice period, employees may utilize earned leave, subject to approval, while ensuring the completion and handover of all assigned projects and milestones in coordination with their Team Lead and Manager. However, no leave (paid or unpaid) will be permitted during the final four weeks of the notice period.
- In case the employee takes unearned leave due to unavoidable circumstances or health reasons, then those numbers of days will be added to the notice period.
- For the purpose of calculation of 3 months, the start date of the notice period will be taken as the next working day of the date on which the notice has been received in writing by the company. The end of the 3 month period will be considered the previous date of the start date, 3 months later.
- As an example, if an employee gives his notice on October 9, 2009 (Friday). The start date will be considered as October 12, 2009 (Monday) and the last working day will be January 11, 2010
- In case any leave is taken during the period, then those numbers of days will be added to January 11, 2010 As an example if the employee was absent without leave on 4 working days, then the last working date will become January 15th 2010.
